Get Your Speaking Questions Answered and fill that practice.

It’s finally here. Many of you have asked for more step-by-step instructions on how to attract clients with speaking.

I’ve shared in the last three videos about how speaking in the community will draw clients into your practice.

But I have so much more to share.

Please share your thoughts and questions in the box below. I treasure them.

Looking For More Information?

I am pleased to offer you my newest 4-part audio program.

“How To Fill Your Appointment Book with Speaking.”

Not since the Beyond One-to-One beta group have I been this excited about a program. I have designed it to be easy, convenient and affordable by most.

In the “How To Fill Your Appointment Book with Speaking” program, we’ll talk about everything from getting over the jitters, to talk titles, to the delivery process itself.

But I think you will be most interested in the follow-up process as this is the step that many speakers miss. You see, hearing you once doesn’t immediately translate into making an appointment. I will take you through the steps in between so that you can convert more audience members into paying clients.

To see if this program is right for you, click here:  http://InTLI.com/events.

If this is the year to get back out into the community…if this is the year to build your reputation…and you’d like to attract more clients with speaking, then I hope you will join me.

Love and blessings,
Casey

Casey,
Just wanted to say I’m so glad you’re offering this class. My husband is a couple years away but eventually we want to offer a radically new approach to premarital workshops. The speaking I’ve done “live” has been fantastic and it’s addicting to get people interested, engaged, and yes, even making money from it. I’ve learned I can’t have any other plans the day I speak because I’m so hyper and energized after, I can’t concentrate. :-)

I think you have a ton of authenticity seeing as you’ve been the therapist and had to do this. You aren’t just a talking head! And of course, there is nothing more painful than a bad speaker. So really, you are trying to save THOUSANDS of innocent people from wasting their time. ;-)

Fondly,
Elizabeth

Hi Casey– I like that the presentation will be available for download, and the price is reasonable because you offer a valuable service. Will it be structured in a way that CEU credits could be obtained through it? It would be a huge bonus for those of us on tight budgets…

Reply

Casey Truffo February 22, 2010 at 5:46 pm

Hi Karen,
Boy I do understand. If I were to add CEUs, though, I’d have to raise the price to cover what it costs me to provide them. I am not sure if that would really help those on a tight budget. But tell me more about what you are thinking.
Hugs,
Casey

Hi Casey: Truthfully, I have been a busy mom this past 2years- a toddler (almost 3) and a 10 mth old. I have not been in private practice since I aquired my lic. I am just starting out. I love public speaking- I was a trained debater and orator in college. Is this a good program for me? I am interested in how to make the audience members clients…Please advise as funds are limited returning to work.
Take Care, Maria

Maria,
I don’t want to tell you how to spend your money of course and it makes me nervous if funds are too low. And of course not every program works for every person. It takes implementing the steps, having an interesting topic, and working at it to make it work. Wish I had a crystal ball for you :) But I believe in this program. And if I were starting out today – this is exactly what I would do. (I’d also get a one page website which could simply be your page on a free online therapist locator that your association offers.)

Any possibility for a (poor unpaid) MFT-intern rate?
Thanks for the consideration.

Hi Casey

I think this program offering is needed. I am sorry I will not be able to access this series at the moment. I do not live or work in the U.S.A. so there are a few limitations on using my funds now, since I pay for some other on-line courses with a U.S.A. university to help augment my psychotherapy skills. As soon as I am finished with this process, this may be one courses that I would definately like to be a a part of.

Hey Amber,
I am really excited about the program too. And the great questions and comments we are getting here give me even more to teach in this program.

I’m please you are doing this Casey because I did a few speaking engagements last year and never got any sales from them because:
1) I was uncomfortable ’selling’ because I didn’t know hot to
2) I was not clear about my product offering and didn’t ‘weave’ it into the talk
3) I was darn nervous!
I have not signed up yet, but I will. I’m glad the calls will recorded because I won’t be able to attend them live.

Valerie,
Oh my I get it! Been there myself. Valerie, do you sell a physical product?

Hi,
I was wondering if you have a program that I could purchase that specifically speaks about the actual speaking engagement. The subject matter, how to put together an interesting engagement, etc. without the how to open the door, make an appointment, etc.
Thank you,
Joni

Hi Joni,
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I understand your concern I think. Since I did so much on how to get the speaking enagagment an earlier video, it will be covered only briefly – maybe 20 minutes out of the 360 minutes of training. (Although I will talk a bit about how to find a venue and market it if you want to host your own event.) The rest of the program will be on the mindset shifts, how to prepare and deliver (Gosh that sounds like a country western song) - and most important – the conversion process to bring them into your practice.
Sadly, I am not planning to break this into separate sections for purchase. However, Joni, just a quick thing if I put my coaching hat. (Please forgive me if you didn’t want that.) Prep and delivery and the actual talk itself account for about 40% of success with speaking. The rest is the follow up process – the steps you take to help them move from audience member from client. And I will devote at least 90 minutes to this topic.
If that meets your needs, I hope you will consider joining us. :)

Once again an excellent presentation. Could have done without the musical background, though :-)

Have to say that, as a former terrified public speaker, I have found there is nothing (apart from spectacular changes in an individual client) that matches the excitement and rewards of speaking to a group.

Casey Truffo February 19, 2010 at 4:16 pm

I agree Bryan. The rewards of speaking are amazing. :)
Funny comment on the music. One gal called me and told me that the music was the best part. :) ) I really have no idea how to add music to video and I am too video obsessed all ready.

are you offering this one time only? i’m recovering from surgery and won’t be able to participate in something like this for a few months but i would be interested in late spring or early summer.

Reply

Casey Truffo February 19, 2010 at 3:32 pm

Hi Susan,
Hope you feel better soon. We probably won’t have this program offered again live. We will be making this into a product for sale later. (I think I have to mention that it will probably be a bit higher priced later.) If you decide to purchase the program now, you will get the audio recordings to listen to later. Let us know if you have more questions!
